Coding and Gaming -Manawatu
What a week this was for our rangatahi as they each had the opportunity to learn about coding and application of drones for environmental usages.
The latest geoscience news from EOS discusses how unmanned aerial vehicles are changing the world. Students saw this up close as Noel Leeming’s technical expert showed them the ins and outs of these technological designs. Our youth were intrigued as they learnt about rotors, hybrids, sensors, multi-rotors, fixed-wing platforms. The school was their field and did they use it to the max!
A whole new world of possibilities was present before their eyes and the sparkle did not wane over time. Youth learned how to utilise the camera function to map topography, videotape rubbish bins, and fly to places they could not get to.
It was a fun week that culminated with environmental awareness about the quantity of plastics being generated at school.
