Hamilton1 COVID-19 Ambassadors

Justyce

I created this poster because these are the things that keep our communities safe. I also did this because I wanted to use Te reo to show my culture.

As inspiration for his poster, Justyce used the whakatauki that wisdom is handed through generations and that the people are the most important thing in the world. He chose four ways to help people stay safe and chose to use Te Reo Maori to communicate this on his poster as the language is important to people. This will help provide ways for Maori to remain safe from Covid-19 communicated in Te Reo Maori.

Kaelan

I created this poster to send a message to everyone through Te Reo Maori and to also stand against this Covid 19 virus and so save lives. Kaupapa from Kaelan Haggie for his Poem

Kaelan lives in Ngaruawahia and his Nan works in healthcare. He is aware that his community needs more information about Covid 19 and how to prevent its spread. This is why he decided write hispoem in Te Reo Maori so that the people of his community know the message applies to them. He has also included an English translation for everyone else in his community.
