PTC Trust kicked off our University of Waikato robotics workshop with an enthusiastic group of rangatahi. The future demands that our rangatahi be skilled, equipped, and knowledgeable about all forms of robotic technology. On 8 October, RNZ reported the presence of ‘ robots already working in New Zealand hotels’ covering a range of jobs at Sudima hotels….Marketing director Dzin Alekzander described the 8 that are operational… ‘Five are what are called BellaBots, two are FlashBots and one is called a CC1’.
Students were, therefore, very keen to get their hands on building and manipulating their robot to perform a range of functions.
